Lets Get Drunk Tonight!
2nd-Jan-2008 09:39 pm
Who: Tayuya and Kin (haha)
When: 2nd January
What: Kin was lonely and managed to get someone to come over and keep her company. Drinking ahead!
Warning: It's Tayuya (and Kin!), and they're drinking.

It didn't take Kin the whole of the half hour she'd told Tayuya it would take. It hardly even took her twenty minutes, for there was a lovely little place right down the street that was practically a hop, skip, and a jump away. Kin had gone and come back and left the two kinds of beverages in the fridge, with a third left out for her to look at. She got down some glasses, nothing fancy for she'd sold those, and set them on the counter. There was ice in the fridge. They were those cute little ice cube shapes, her mother had bought them and insisted on using them. Ice was ice, even if they did come in cyan blue, magenta, violet, yellow, and lime green flowers.

With a flop onto the same-old couch in the same-old living room, Kin rolled onto her back and stared at the ceiling. Did she really want to do this? People knew she was pretty adverse to drinking after all. . .Yes. Yes she did. Like many people these days it seemed that she, too, was fed up with life at the moment. A little drinking wouldn't hurt, not in her logic. Of course she was drinking to get drunk, not drinking because it tasted good. Kin thought any sort of alcohol tasted pretty shitty, but that was behind her for the night. She was going to have a friend over, they were going to drink, and in the morning after her hang over, she would go to work and go on with life.

"Tayuya, come on." The raven haired teen groaned to herself, hand reaching up toward the roof. She looked at her palm, then the back side, and wiggled around her fingers. It was almost a shame Sakon and Ukon weren't going to be here, Kin thought. But then again it was an "almost" shame.

The redhead made a face as if she didn't believe her story, not that she cared. It didn't matter, so she just left it at that, closing the freezer door as they were done there.

Tayuya leaned on the counter, her elbows on the top of it to hold her there more comfortably, while watching without much interest as Kin poured their drinks. When the younger girl passed her her drink, she reached out and grabbed it, returning the smirk and repeating her. "Drink up." She lifted the glass as if to toast her friend, then took a large swig from it without even waiting for Kin to begin drinking her own beer.

Kin wasn't far behind. She knew Tayuya was here to do one thing and she'd invited her here for that one thing as well. To drink, and thus it was what they did.

Equally the black haired girl took a long drink from the glass. The cubes inside pinged around dully against one another and the crystal edges. After pausing she looked over the rim at Tayuya, then finished the liquid off. Making an 'ah' sound to follow, she grabbed the larger container and led her companion into the living room.

"Have a seat," she offered, motioning with the glass in her left hand while then going to pour the beverage from her right.

She didn't mind just standing there, leaning on the kitchen counter and was rather enjoying herself as she consumed what would have her tipsy as soon as she had a few more glasses of the beverage. She had once learned the hard way that she wasn't anywhere near the best at holding her liqour, but drank for the results. None of it tasted very good to her anyway, except for wine coolers, and even those burned taste buds. Tayuya sucked her teeth, but followed anyway, finishing up the little bit of beer left in her glass as she did.

She nearly threw herself onto the couch, sitting up as if she had placed herself onto it like a civil person would, and held out her glass to Kin. "Speed up the process, princess," she said while waving the glass back and forth before being refilled.

"Hold the hell still, then!" Kin said back with a grin. She sat with a thunk onto the couch, her left knee tucked under her and the right falling off the edge. She had to put her glass down to take hold of Tayuya's, it moving far too much to pour into without spilling. Spilling would be a sin!

Releasing the glass she put down the bottle and picked up her share. Tayuya was right, it did taste horrible. But that was okay, because they were both aiming for the after-effect. Leaning back into the right corner of the couch, Kin sipped away at the beer while picking up a controller. The small device had been sitting on the arm rest and it controlled the stereo. Turning on the power, rock music blazed out of the speakers.

Tayuya pursed her lips and gave Kin a slight glare as the other girl took hold of her glass, nearly filled to the rim with the golden liquid. "Yeah, better had, ho," she said before taking a sip of the drink, taking one of the oddly shaped ice cubes into her mouth and munching on it with two loud crunches.

"Finally, some actual fucking music," she easily raised her voice loud enough for Kin to hear her. "Living with that fucking retard Kidoumaru means ya gotta listen to bullshit rap all the goddamn time." Some rap, Tayuya honestly did not mind, but Kidoumaru had horrible taste in music and seemed to only own that genre of music. If he had anything that was actually decent, she didn't know.

"He has serious problems," Kin replied with a roll of her eyes and a shake of her head. "I don't even know where to begin. I'm sorry you have to live with That." Bringing the glass up to her lips she drank away and finished off half of what was left. Mmm, it still tasted disgusting but was starting to warm up to the flavor anyway.

Her foot on the floor tapped to the beat of the rocking sound coming through the speakers. It was a good song, one of the CD's she'd borrowed (and copied onto a new disk) from Ukon. That boy had a brilliant collection that she wanted to own herself.

Tayuya shrugged as she took another few sips, also warming up to the taste of the beer. "Fuck, it's better than nothin'," her own foot began tapping to the music as well. "And they spoil the shit outta me there. New clothes, new phone," she added with a feigned smile. Not that any of that mattered, but she needed some reason to try to be happy. She would much rather be back at the twins' place, though there was no way in hell she'd be allowed to step foot in there again. They didn't even talk to her anymore, didn't care what she did or where she went. And as much as she hated to admit it, it hurt.

Kin wasn't really in on this anger triangle, but she knew a little of it. She wouldn't bring it up, however, seeing as this wasn't the place. So in silence she fell, sitting back comfortably and letting her head fall back and eyes close. In her hand she swished the liquid around gently, hearing it slosh about in the container. Lifting her head again she drank, then set back. This was really nice, all things considered.

(Mhm, let's do so now~)

After the bringing up of various other subjects, not really delving too deeply into them (because Tayuya never revealed what she thought was too much information nor did she care for long stories), and just as many of both awkward and relaxing silences minus the music in the background, the other two bottles of their 'escape-from-reality-for-a-while' beverages had been opened. Already the redhead began her random giggle fits, the first sign that she was definitely not sober. Never did she giggle, or sound very feminine in any way while sober. She gagged at the very thought of the act. It was a thoughtless thing girly-girl bimbos did, and though she still could not be considered to be girly, she wasn't using her mind much. Drink, verbal response, and act silly was all her brain was processing at the moment. How blissful.
7th-Jan-2008 03:14 am (UTC)
Tayuya's laughter caused a chain reaction to make Kin giggle as well. She smiled and grinned, hanging loosely on the arm rest. Kin was a drink ahead of Tayuya, which wasn't much but she clearly couldn't keep her sanity any better than her friend. Reaching out, she grabbed a bottle. By now they had moved on to drinking straight from them rather than pouring. Kin couldn't keep a steady hand anymore either, so taking it straight was just easier.

Her feet kicked in the air before settling down, one on the cushion and one on the floor. She was very lax.
7th-Jan-2008 03:56 am (UTC)
She tried calming her giggles after seeing that Kin had stopped her own for a drink, but to no avail. Everything was just too amusing. Her inability to act properly, the near-emptiness of Kin's apartment, and the music sounding as if it were trying to drown out their laughter made her laugh. It really wasn't even funny, at all. It took realizing that the raven-haired girl just might finish up the booze (she completely forgot about the wine mentioned earlier) to become more serious. This was normally the part where she got pissed, but that was when her company was a group of idiotic males. She did not particularly think of Kin as an idiot, nor was she male (not to her knowledge anyway), so she could keep her cool as long as the other girl didn't down the last of the goods. Leaning over to her friend with a pout, Tayuya rested her chin on Kin's shoulder, glaring at her from the corner of her eye. "Tch, don't fuckin' finish it yourself, bitch. Pass it!"
7th-Jan-2008 09:45 pm (UTC)
Kin made a sound as she turned her head a few inches and looked down at Tayuya. "You want this?" She asked teasingly, hanging the bottle in front of the redhead but moving it away before she might even try at it. The girl in turn laughed, shifting in her seat and leaning her arm back behind her.

"If you want it," Kin told Tayuya. "You gotta come get it." She was grinning wickedly, thinking as though she had won merely because it was out of the others reach. Impaired Senses 101, Lesson Five: Thou Shalt Not Taunt.
8th-Jan-2008 01:45 am (UTC)
"The fuck do you think?" Tayuya said as she reached out to grab the bottle too slowly for it was suddenly out of reach. She frowned at her friends little stunt, but refrained from slapping her upside her head. She was there to relax, not to fight, and she actually liked her little drinking buddy.

Grinning in return, hers a more cynical looking one, the redhead decided to play along. Besides, if she jumped out to take the beverage she would most probably drop and spill it, wasting the remaining contents of the bottle and they didn't want that. Tayuya leaned over the girl, hands on the cushion at Kin's sides to hold her up, her still grinning face inches away from the other. "Pass it the fuck over, ho." And this was her asking nicely.
8th-Jan-2008 01:49 am (UTC)
"I am noooot a ho," Kin told her matter-of-factly. Her hand, outstretched, swirled around the drink but held on tight. She wouldn't drop it for the life of her, even if they had that wine left to go at.

"You're going to have to ask nicely, bi-otch. Otherwise, no beer." She laughed and wiggled herself up onto the armrest, getting out from under Tayuya and thus leaving her on her lap. Oh well.
8th-Jan-2008 02:14 am (UTC)
Tayuya started her giggles again. Really, the beer was not so far out of reach. She just had to get up higher for it. Standing would do, but that required more effort from her brain than crawling up the arm rest with Kin. Stradling the girl's lap, Tayuya reached one hand up to grab the neck of the bottle. Her other hand grabbed Kin's free arm by the wrist and held it firmly enough for her to not be shoved back to the seat so easily. "Pass it," she repeated. Really that was as nice as she was getting. "Ho."
